Getting to Gatlinburg from Ohio, is a fairly straight shot. From the Defiance/Toledo area, it will take you about eight to nine hours to drive the whole way.
- Take I-75 South to Kentucky State Line
- Continue on I-75 South to Tennessee State Line
- Continue on I-75 South to Knoxville, TN
- Follow signs to I-640 East, and take I-640 East to I-40 East
- Take I-40 East to exit 407
- Turn right on Winfield Dunn Parkway
- Continue on TN-71/US-441 Scenic South, through Sevierville and Pigeon Forge
- Continue on, to Gatlinburg
From Alabama:
- Take I-65 North towards Birmingham
- At exit 250, bypass Birmingham by taking I-459 North
- Merge onto I-59 North towards Chattanooga, TN
- Take the exit onto I-24 East
- Merge onto I-75 North
- Continue on I-40 East towards Knoxville
- Take exit 388 for US-441 South towards Sevierville
- Turn right at TN-71 and US-441 South
- Go on through Sevierville and Pigeon Forge
- Continue on to Gatlinburg
